You are spirit and substance, energy and matter…
To survive in a body, you must somehow get your daily bread when you are hungry, keep yourself warm in winter, find shelter from the wind and rain, clothe yourself and your family, find water to sustain life, and keep yourself safe from predators.
When your survival needs are met, your security is more easily assured. You may begin to explore the part of you that has always been the wise and knowing one who came into the body full of purpose, with dreams and with a full and open heart, ready to meet the challenges, knowing with a deep and ancient intelligence that you belong here, that your survival in a body will fuel the growth and evolution of your spirit.
The challenges you face can help you grow in wisdom, in compassion, will help your heart expand in love if you choose to allow it.
You may choose to let the hurt, fear, and unhappiness that occurs in every life make you small and bitter and angry, or you may use these events as fuel for the education and expansion of your spirit as you move from lifetime to lifetime in human form.
Your body is the vehicle for your spirit’s journey through life. You journey together as one organism. The spirit and the body are one until the death of the body, then the spirit continues, endures and the cycle of life begins again.
Will you choose to identify only with the physical and survival aspects of life, or will you expand your awareness to include the big picture that your spirit can access and understand and make sense of to create a better life for yourself?
When you belong to the Earth while allowing the divine light of spirit to move through you, you will be able to navigate through your life with wisdom, grace, equanimity, peace, and calm that will bless the web of life and all beings.
When you expand your awareness to include the spirits in all things, the rocks, trees, clouds, insects, plants and animals, the land you call home, the other people around you, you expand your experience of life.
You expand your understanding of the oneness of all things You see life from a different perspective like a hawk soaring overhead, or a snake gliding across rough pavement or through the tall grass.
Little brown snake
When you expand your awareness to know what hawk knows, you will feel and know the warm updraft under your wide open wings, effortlessly holding you aloft above the immense landscape where you make your living.
When you expand your awareness to know what snake knows, you drink in the earthy smell of soil, dead leaves, and rough pavement beneath your belly, you sense the texture and solidity of the ground, you feel the stiff stems of grass anchored to the earth as you glide past.
When you expand and allow yourself to know these things and to experience them, you will gain respect for all living creatures and the great web of life that sustains us.
Always remember this! Nothing can be separated from the whole.
When you expand your awareness, you will know your place in this great web of life- that you belong to the earth. I ask you to use your free will and human agency to celebrate and protect the great tapestry of creation of which we are all a part!

Like a rainbow, where the colors melt imperceptibly into each other, forming delightful new colors and qualities of light, so you can begin to bring in new thoughts that blend with the old, yet take you to a newer fresher place in your mind, heart and spirit.
Dear ones, it is vital that you develop and learn to trust what you call intuition. This is your connection to all-that-is, beyond your brain and body, beyond what you sense by touch, feel, hearing, smelling, tasting. It is a knowing, without knowing. It is a true knowing you can trust… without physical “proof”.
Winter bird nest
Your lives will improve greatly when you expand your awareness beyond the boundary of the physical body and world and tune in to the vast knowledge and wisdom of spirit that is the birthright of each and every one of you.
If you are out of practice since childhood at this inborn skill, start small and easy to rebuild your muscle. Ask yourself a question before bedtime and state that the answer will be known to you when you wake up. Let your logical brain have a much needed rest. Do not impose restrictions, conditions, boundaries on yourself.
When you wake up, ask again and tune into the feeling, the subtle and deep knowings within your heart and spirit. The answer is within you. You must trust it, but only if you have switched off the logical brain, the critical parental voices in your head, the ego that imposes its agenda on you.
Practice every day, start small and trust that you will build your intuition and learn to trust your deep knowing that is connected to the web of all things.
The stream of intuition flows deeply within all humans. You must allow yourself to explore beneath the surface of 5 senses, logic, ego, and the voices of others, to tap this vein of gold.
