With limited time in the days of your life, how do you decide what are the most important and most satisfying inspirations to focus on?

You might try to imagine and visualize yourself as a tree, with roots anchoring you to the earth, your trunk, branches, twigs and leaves reaching to heaven.

This is a process of filtering and sorting those blessings that inspire and delight and sustain your interest, your connection to the divine and the earth and then focusing on what is most important to you each day.

Visualize the inspirations flowing down from the divine through each twig and leaf — receivers of the light. Now they are synthesized, their energy filtered and sent to larger branches then to the main limbs of the tree until the blessings you receive have been sorted and organized into several main branches – those that feed your soul and satisfy your spirit.

Now as this energy reaches your main trunk you know your alignment with source, you know what is most important to you and how it all fits together. No matter how many inspired ideas and blessings flow to you and through you, you are one with the light of source and strong in your determination and calling to do the soul satisfying work that flows through you.

Your roots also draw in and filter the energies and messages of the earth, up once again up through the earth to your trunk. These energies keep you anchored to your home and safe in your body.

You are a channel for divine inspirations and energies. When you keep yourself grounded to the earth and centered in the divine you will thrive!

Creation/destruction

You are the creator of your life. But think of this… You are also the destroyer.

In your home you paint fresh color on a wall, destroying and covering the old color. You may tear down a wall to create a larger room. You may give away or repurpose old clothes you no longer use to make room for new more fashionable and better fitting clothes.

In your life you dismantle those beliefs that no longer resonate or serve your purposes, and you create new supportive beliefs. You withdraw from relationships that hurt and diminish you and create new uplifting connections.

You create and destroy and create again. You make and unmake, you build up and tear down. You construct something fresh as you deconstruct the obstacles to its creation. In this way, you grow and create the life, the home, the environment that you desire.

You create and destroy just as nature does. A tree grows supple, flexible, tall, shady. After many years it becomes huge, brittle and breaks easily in a destructive storm. The sun can now reach the earth allowing new seedling to grow into the light as they feed on the decay from the old wood.

As humans you must realize this is part of the pattern of your lives and your civilizations, your history. The new and fresh is built on the foundations of that which has served it’s purpose and can no longer sustain itself.

Your challenge is to discern when the time is right to release your tight grip on what has been and reach out in trust to what is coming and help to shape this new reality into a life that is lived fully, with a whole heart.

Knowing this pattern will help you weather the times of destruction in your life, divorce, the death of a loved one, a job loss, a move, a natural disaster. All of these events are difficult, perhaps devastating…

But please know that you will create a new life again from the ashes of the old. You will endure!

We will endure into the future as we’ve endured for billions of years trusting our seeds, spores, runners and roots to the future.

We are constantly changing and adapting to our home, interwoven with all life in the vast and complex web of existence.

Let the flowing and sparkling water of a nearby stream fire your imagination and light up your childlike enjoyment of the simple things in life. Sail a paper boat, watch a large leaf float downstream, skip stones, drop rocks in the water and watch & listen for the splash…

Go to the playground and swing, climb a tree & observe everything above & below you, create a bouquet of wildflowers some might call weeds. Go barefoot. Twirl around until you get dizzy and then rest on the grass. Smell the clover. Watch for lightning bugs after dark. Take a moonlit walk.

Heat got you down?

Nature’s wisdom and rhythms suggest a nice rest, a siesta today until the sun is lower in the sky and you can move around the yard and neighborhood with greater ease and comfort as the evening cool settles in.

Wilted and drowsy plants wait for the cooler evening to perk up. Animals seek their cool and dark burrows, or the dense shade under trees and brush.

The height of summer is upon us. As your ancestors have been doing since time began, seek the shade and breeze, rest and nap during the intense heat, wait for your second wind later in the day as the air cools. Then you can get things done when your body regains energy.

When you act in harmony with nature’s rhythms your life flows more easily.

Are you ready for healing?

Healing means a change, a movement toward wholeness in your life. Healing means letting go of old stale harmful beliefs, self harming thoughts, energy patterns that no longer keep you safe or comfortable.

Healing means trusting and stepping into the unknown from the well-worn, the comfort zone, the tried and tired old ways of being.

Healing means gathering your courage, looking honestly at your life and facing facts, then realizing you can transcend and grow and release what seems to hold you back, what seems a bedrock fact of your life.

You can hold a vision for what you want your life to become and begin your movement toward that, one step at a time. There is no need to rush! Hold your vision to your heart. No one can take it from you!

Healing is letting go, healing is allowing yourself to open to new possibilities and ideas and visions that harmonize with the core of who you really are. Healing brings your true self into focus.

Healing is not the same as curing. They are two separate things. Curing means the abolishment, the erasing of illness or disease. Healing is the movement of your spirit, heart, and mind toward your own clarity and light.

Healing is a gentle opening to your wise and true self, a letting go of all that blocks your spirit. If you are alive on this planet, in a body, you can heal.

New Moon

The time of the new moon means it is time to renew and refresh your plans. What is most important for you to bring in during the waxing moon?

Now is the time to decide what you want to bring into your life in the next two weeks. Focus on those projects & ideas that inspire and fire you up. Now is the time to do your research and gather what you need to sustain you as the moon waxes and grows and gains strength and light.

What do you want more of in life? Plant those seeds at the time of the new moon. Nurture them through waxing moon. Rest on the full moon, then take action and tie up loose ends during the waning moon.

When you live by rhythms of the moon, you effortlessly increase the power of your effectiveness in the projects and plans your heart has chosen for you to accomplish.

You can accomplish smaller goals in a month, planting the seeds, gathering what you need, then taking action and finally resting and enjoying your accomplishment.

You can plan your large projects this way as well. One large goal or project divided into smaller steps, Each year, 13 cycles of planning and acting, culminating in your year long finished project.

Flowing water

Work with the energies of the moon. Go with the flow of energy so you’re not always fighting against the tides of her powerful energy. Learn to live in harmony with the moon.

You are a creature of the earth, the ancient rhythms of moon and tide, day and night, summer and winter. Relax into these powerful cycles and let your life flow.

First, gently allow your body and mind to relax, breathing deeply, letting yourself sink comfortably into your chair or bed or mat…

Now, imagine the crown chakra at the top of your head, gently opening and beautiful liquid-like golden light from the divine pouring into and through you like water.

Feel it pouring down through the energy center, filling every cell of your body, every organ, every nerve and blood vessel, every bone and muscle, every ligament, every skin cell…every microscopic connection between cells… Imagine the beautiful light filling them all effortlessly with its cleansing healing power.

Imagine and see and know this amazing healing light filling you from head to toe displacing and sending all heavier energies away, letting them drain through your feet into the Earth for recycling.

Now when light reaches your feet, pause a moment to enjoy the feeling. Then let it begin to fill your aura from your feet to your head, permeating every particle of your energy with liquid golden light.

Allow this light to assist in weaving your aura together in a beautiful tapestry that draws in life affirming energies and filters out all incompatible energies and those that belong to others.

Now, sit with this light and let it circulate from your head to your toes slowly and thoroughly throughout your entire body, then from your feet to your crown through your aura.

This is the light of the divine. Feel it, know it, experience it. Let it heal you and bring you peace.

When you feel complete with this practice, give thanks, then tap your cheekbones, the center of your chest and rub the bottom center of your feet near the big toe joint. Let yourself come back to the here and now.

Contentment

Can you allow yourself an hour or two of contentment each day? If that seems like a tall order, how about 15 minutes?

A few minutes, an hour or two of simply feeling at peace with your life, letting go of wanting something you don’t have, letting go of striving for the next goal, letting go of pushing ahead, letting go of forcing things to happen, will bring a refreshing new serenity to your life.

The energy frequency of contentment ripples through the web of life bringing more peace to all living beings on this earth.

Contentment is living in the moment. It is bringing your awareness to the here and now and knowing that life is good, that you have everything you need for this hour, that in this moment and the next and next, all is well.

For this hour of contentment, there is nowhere you have to go, no one you have to meet, nothing you have to do unless it contributes to your happiness.

When you know contentment, your body mind and spirit feel calm, relaxed, and satisfied. Can you give yourself this precious gift?

Changing your habits of thought

Are you holding on tight to ideas, grudges, unpleasant thoughts, and old stale energy?

Perhaps you don’t realize what you’re doing, don’t realize how free you could feel when you let go of the old, the habitual thoughts and ways of being that keep you stuck.

Does fear of the unknown keep you from exploring new ways of being, new energy habits, new and fresh ways to live your life?

Start small! Identify one thought that holds you back, puts you down, or describes yourself as a person you don’t want to be. Identify one way you criticize yourself. Lovingly and kingly challenge this thought in your mind each time it comes around.

Try speaking to yourself like this…“Remember, I’m learning to bring in thoughts that lift me up…” “I’m learning kind new ways to talk to myself…” “I’m moving forward in life with new supportive and loving thoughts…”

Be patient as you do this, patient and loving and kind. It takes time to change life long habits!

Like spring cleaning, cleanse away what is stale and no longer useful, the dusty and broken and unhelpful thoughts.

Bring in fresh new healthy thoughts a little at a time and you will begin feel so much better!
