Put your ear to the ground. What do you hear? In what language does our Earth speak to you?
Can you hear the hundreds of thousands of earthworms turning and fertilizing the soil, carrying out their singular and necessary purpose in the web of life?
Can you hear the billions of roots of grasses, trees, wild plants and “weeds” food plants and flowers of all descriptions, reaching deep, stretching down, absorbing water and nutrients?
Can you hear the fur bearing creatures in their dark and cool burrows, the snakes gliding almost silently along the Earth through the tall grass? Can you hear the nearby stream flowing quietly?
Can you hear the millions of ants creating their underground cities, marching in unison, intent on their building project, living their lives, feeding their families?
Can you hear the underground rivers, streams and aquifers, the water fresh and cool, lapping in dark rock shelters? Can you hear the slow dripping and dropping of lime infused water from ancient stalactites in secret caves so far beneath the surface of the Earth?
Can you hear the deep hum and vibrations of the bedrock, the foundation of ancient stones that supports our home?
Can you hear the humming, the sound of creation as your ear tunes into the subtler frequencies of the Earth’s spinning, her movement in space?
Can you hear the deep and awesome harmony of creation? All is one great symphony of sound and vibration.
The earth speaks to us in her language of stone, metal, water, fire, air, soil, seasons, night and day, and abundant life of all descriptions.
Underlying all on our Earth is the sound of creation, the great hum.
Dear ones, you may think we stones have no hearing, no voice, no awareness, but there, you would be wrong.
Our awareness exists at much lower and heavier vibrations of energy than yours. Our energy is dense and compact. Our energy particles interlock and overlap in ways that create great mass and weight.
Like all things, we have what you call a spirit, an awareness you might say.
Time as you know it is meaningless to us. Our life cycle from creation to the point of breaking up and dissolving and then forming once again into solid stone is measured in hundreds of thousands of your years, perhaps even longer. Millions of years.
We are in this for the long haul! If you want to learn patience, study the stones.
We have seen Earth’s history unfolding, we have felt the vibrations of war, of peace, of major human migration, climate changes, and times of peace and plenty.
We are the ancient ones. If you wish to communicate with us, tune into our frequency. We can offer you our wisdom.
We are eternal, we support your world, your lives, and all life on this planet with our strong foundation. We provide the bedrock on which all life depends.
Nothing in this universe is permanent but our indestructible spirits.
All is in constant flow and flux. What you call a stone is made of minute energy particles coalesced into matter, yet on a deeper level, permeable. On an even deeper level, nothingness.
Somehow, we are in a place where we perceive matter in solid form. Yet the pattern of non-permanence is shown to us in our cycles of life death life. All living things come into being, then must decay and pass away.
All landscapes erode, all cloud formations dissipate, all musical tones die away to the ear, bedrock becomes sand, and yet all deaths give rise to the new.
The upstart cottonwood sprout will surge ahead and surpass me some day as I enter my season of decline. Our parents will pass on, our beloved shade trees will succumb to age, our favorite pets will cease to exist on the physical plane.
Yet, the fabric of existence endures, as new rock is formed deep in the earth, as new clouds form on the horizon, as our children mature, bear children and become parents. This fabric is woven strong of spirit.
Dearest ones, with this voice I desire to convince you to heal yourselves from the inside out; to do the excavation, the clearing of blocked feelings, the forgiving of those who have harmed you so you can find and know clarity, peace, and connection with the web of life.
It is not necessary to hold on to hurt or the energy of painful emotions – to become a living stone.
Feelings are vibrations – frequencies of energy that emanate from you and influence all living things near you. It is no small thing when you begin to heal yourself, for in doing so the web in which we are all connected and intertwined is made stronger, more vibrant, more beautiful like a rich fabric of many exquisite colors and patterns.
Every particle in the universe senses your vibrations. You matter! How you feel matters! As you heal, as you feel better, everything around you – all living beings respond to your new found clarity and elevated mood. Give yourself and the earth the gifts of forgiveness, inner peace and clarity!
Your body is not a stone. It is an amazing system made of energy. Energy is meant to move, to shift and evolve.
When you decide to allow the flow, you will feel the difference after the energy begins to move and emotions have been transmuted and released. You will no longer feel like a silent and heavy stone. You may feel like dancing!
