Crossroads

Do you find yourself at a crossroads?

You can continue as you have been, or try something new. You can step out of your comfort zone. You can move away from the familiar, try something different from your accustomed actions, thoughts, beliefs, and ways of relating to others.

Try a new path, see where it takes you. Trust. Take heart and try something new when life has lost its color and magic when you do not like where you stand.

I see walkers bikers runners zip downhill past me without losing their momentum. Taking the easy road. Others slow down and take time to notice me and my companion trees. Some of those who slow down on the path will take the gentle turning into the open meadows and continue in a new direction.

The sun at their back as they continue down the hill is now lighting their side as they continue to the south.

Changing your perspective, the angle of light, your inner landscape, changing your direction does not need to threaten your place or overthrow your entire life, but can bring you fresh ideas and new energy.

Even a slight change in direction can open up delightful new possibilities. Do not change direction to escape and deny your reality but to heal and see it from a new perspective to renew and regenerate and bring fresh energy to your life.

Start with baby steps – New ways of relating to others, a new positive belief about yourself. Stir things up a little, and have some fun.

Choose one idea

Are you filled with inspiration and ideas – bursting at the seams with fervor to create and bring your ideas from the energy of thought to physical reality?

When you find that ideas are flowing like the ocean tide and the spring thaw, you must choose and decide. You must narrow your focus to one or two ideas at a time. Otherwise you will make yourself crazy and accomplish exactly zero!

When your attention is scattered in all directions you cannot bring your ideas forth with any coherence.

When your attention is focused like a laser beam on one thing at a time; the one thing that rocks your world, satisfies your soul, floats your boat, makes your heart sing, you harness the creative power of the universe in one clear coherent signal. All the guidance you need is provided.

Dear idea person, Keep a list and file of all your amazing inspirations. When you are ready for a new adventure, when you’ve brought your current idea to fruition with focus, discipline and perseverance, you many choose again from your file and begin the process again.

Choose the idea that lifts you up, excites and satisfies you. Choose the idea that has been in your mind and heart for many years, the perennial favorite.

After choosing your amazing idea, give it your full attention. Let your creativity flow! Do what it takes and bless this earth with your passion, purpose and focus.

Shape your future!

My dear ones, this is a time of choice.

Do you choose to live in fear? Do you choose to do what is healthy for mother earth and all life? Do you choose to make those minute adjustments to your life that will result in better health, happier relationships, feelings of peace and well-being?

Set your intention each day. Start small and build on that.

You are the master of your life. Own it!

You choose and command the energies that move through you.

Get comfortable with that!

Your intentions and words have power beyond your ability to fathom. They interact with the web of all things, weaving and creating your future. Every thought, word, decision, choice and belief emanates from you and helps to shape the web of all things.

Align them with your dreams to shape your amazing future.

You have more power than you have been led to believe!

Begin again

Do not lose heart, dear ones. At any moment you may drop the habits, thoughts, patterns, behaviors, and blocked emotions of the past – those that hold you back, those that hurt others or yourself.

It could happen instantly, when you have made the decision at a deep level. You finally lay down the last cigarette, set aside the sugar for good, and never look back. Or, it may be a gradual process of noticing the harm and how your body feels, the emotions, the thoughts, and wanting to feel better.

It may be that you need the help of others to move forward. There are many who can help you find your way to the light at your pace, in your time.

You will feel expanding awareness and compassion for yourself as you choose life over addiction or unhappiness, as you choose to feel good to the depths of your soul, not just the surface of your being.

You get to begin again and make a new choice. Each moment is an opportunity for a new choice.

Do you choose health and wholeness? Do you choose to move toward the light? Do you choose to love yourself? Do you choose thoughts and actions that uplift you, and by extension those around you?

Take a new action in this moment to cement your choice!

Dear ones, know this whatever choices you make, you are dearly loved and desired here on this place at this time. You can feel better, you do not have to stay stuck in old harmful patterns. You can thrive!

Commitment

Grandmother Cottonwood, evening sunlight

Sending down roots is making a commitment to life! I commit to this life, to this place and time, for the seasons, years and decades I’m blessed to live. My roots reach deep and wide. My roots and presence are my pledge of participation and involvement in the here and now – in the life of our beloved earth.

I take what I need from the earth and the atmosphere. I feed and sustain myself and allow the development and unfolding of my being from a tiny seed. I do not need to give myself permission to take the sustenance I need. My existence is permission enough. I am here to expand into my life’s design and purpose.

If a choice was possible, I would choose once again to be what I am now. I am blessed in this life to send my roots deeply into the soil and raise my branches and leaves, to scatter my seeds proudly.

In my home, a wooded margin at the head of a grassy flood plain, I make a commitment to live with my whole being, my entire spirit, to send my roots deeper and wider each year so I might know my part in this exquisite web of life and add my unique tone to the harmony of all that is.
