More on balance between head and heart

Humans are designed to think, but also feel. Logic without feeling creates a coldness, a lack of human connection, a distance between people. Feeling without logic may ignore some important facts and cause mistakes.

Perhaps you’ve been rewarded for your thinking prowess with fellowships, awards, gold stars, summa cum laude diplomas for your walls. But, dear one, are you balanced between head and heart?

If you need lessons in feeling, you can get them from any healer, counselor, or young child. Lessons in thinking are everywhere in your schools and universities, even preschools, your libraries and courts, your businesses … you are overloaded with them.

Find a balance!

Analyze but also simply allow what is to be without judgment. Take things apart to figure them out, but also see the whole. Seek understanding, but also allow yourself to surrender to the mystery.

If you feel you are unbalanced, you can remedy this by learning to pay attention to the ebb and flow or your thoughts as an observer, not taking them all seriously, and tuning more fully into the sensations of your magnificent body and the wisdom of your heart. Quiet your mind so you can hear the still wisdom of your heart below the attention seeking noise of your thoughts.

Let your mind rest at times, for overthinking and over analyzing can make you anxious, can create worry and fear, can cut you off from your body and suck the joy out of life.

Tune into the wisdom of your heart and let yourself be for an hour or two, a day, a weekend. Be mindful of your body. Feel the stretch of your muscles, follow your breath, your heartbeat, the rhythm of your walk.

No need to name the muscles, understand how the lungs work, break down the mechanics of your walk. Let yourself be free of these concepts for a little while while you enjoy the flow of life in a body on this Earth.

Know that your thoughts are not you. They come and go, they flow through your head, they flow out. New ones come in…. They come and go they flow through your head, they flow out.

You will know you are in balance when you can allow yourself to loosen up, have a little fun, play with the suds in the dishwater, let yourself dream, make a snow angel, climb a tree, wade in the creek, build a sand castle, lay under the stars, skip stones… then sit down and focus on your intellectual puzzles that fuel your passion and make life interesting!

To become the most effective human being you can be, learn to find a balance between thinking and feeling, head and heart.

You are a powerful being!

Do not underestimate the power and reach and strength of your energy field. You are beings of light. All living creatures here on Earth are beings of light!

Grandmother Cottonwood

While many humans cannot see this light and energy, it is the most powerful influence in the connections and interactions between living beings.

Think of it as your energy atmosphere.

When you are relatively clear of emotional baggage, rooted to the earth, centered in your body, and aligned with source, you emit a powerful signal in the energetic web of life in which all things are connected.

Your energy follows your focused intention and connects where you choose.

This is how distance healing works, this is how prayer works, this is how synchronicity works.

Use your power wisely and well. When you use it in kindness and love to uplift and heal, the benefits and blessings come back around to you with synchronicity.

Line up your heart and mind to your desires, and let your aura expand.

Know you are worthy, know you will feel wonderful and your soul will be satisfied and blessed.

Step up to the plate

Everybody gets a turn at bat. Step up to the plate, get set, pay attention, keep your eye on the ball…

In a game, you have limited at bats… In life you get chances to step up time and time again. Did you “strike out” last time you had a chance?

Have you taken time to sharpen your skills, deepen your knowledge, command your attention and focus so it does not wander or waver? Have you gotten complete clarity on what you want? Is your head in the game?

If so, this at bat you will have a better chance to connect squarely and hit the ball out of the park.

Can you imagine and picture your bat connecting, the loud crack, the feeling of power when the ball sails up and over the field, clearing the fence? Can you feel the firm set of your feet, the low center of gravity, the power in your arms, shoulders and chest and the swivel at your waist as you swing and connect?

Life presents you with countless opportunities to step up to the plate and shine. Will you take your turn?

Change your focus and your life will change.

Do you focus on what is wrong, Dear ones?

Do you zero in on problems, attend most urgently to the annoyances and irritations in your life to the exclusion of all else? Is your attention captured by bad news, ugly gossip, stories and images that disturb and dismay you? Do you spend time ruminating on tales of lack, messages of not enough?

Are you happy with the direction your life is taking when you focus in this way?

Change your focus, change your life.

As the focus can be selected on a camera, you too can choose the main focus of your day, your hour, your present moment. Everything else will remain in the background.

You can focus on one detail of the frame so it is clear and sharp within your attention. Everything else will fade like a blur into the background and become insignificant – a backdrop to what is most important.

Choose and frame your subjects wisely like a good photographer. Choose that which uplifts, delights, inspires and satisfies your soul. Spend time focusing and attending to these qualities and soon you will find your life shifting to a new and improved model!

Your sweet spot

When you are energized, when you have no sense of time passing, when you are living in the moment, enthused, and inspired, you are centered in your sweet spot. Your physical body and spirit are aligned in harmony.

Do you spend most of your time in your sweet spot or do events, thoughts, and fears pull you off balance and out of true?

You work here is to do what needs to be done to line yourself up again and again with the amazing flow of energy, the inspiration, the delight and clarity of your sweet spot. This is where the things you care about get done! Effortlessly!

Can you catch yourself before you lean too far off center, before you get too far from your sweet spot? One way is to create a daily practice for yourself to keep yourself in balance.

Devise a ritual that helps you line up and place yourself fully in the center of your life, where your power lies, where you belong! You will be amazed!

Many humans are called at this time to step into their full power, to line up with their light and live fully in their sweet spot for the blessing of this earth. Will you?

Focus on your purpose

Do you get pulled like a magnet to the agenda and needs of others or do you set your own course and steer according to your stars?

You may think it is kind and loving to help, to support, to sacrifice your goals and dreams, your unrepeatable moments for the sake of others. But my dear, when you focus so fully on others, you are not living in the magnificent current of power and light that is your birthright, your highest good. Those you sacrifice for will never know their true power or inner strength.

My dear ones, decide what you can do for your family, friends, loved ones without resentment, without giving up your dreams, without becoming a shadow of who you are meant to be.

Yes, there may be times you must focus on helping others when they are in crisis, but those times must not eclipse and overwhelm your commitment to yourself.

Focus on your dearest dreams, goals and inspirations first. Do for others in ways that strengthen you and them. If you feel depleted, you are giving too much.

The source of all being has plans for you that coincide with your deepest desires. Let your divine purpose be the central focus of your life.

Pay attention!

When you pay attention, you invest in your health and well-being.

Attention is being fully present and observing the sensations of your body, the feelings and emotions that flow through you, the thoughts that move through like clouds on a breezy spring day. It is observing what is – without opinion, perceiving the deep knowings within your heart that lie beneath the noisy surface chatter of daily life.

Attention is gentle focus without wavering, a disengaging of the brain, for the brain will talk you out of anything!

Attention is engaging a clear eyed focus on what is – without the running commentary, judgment, minimizing, fooling yourself, criticism, denial, delusion, propaganda, image management, or any of the tricks your brain can devise to pull you away from your true power.

When you attend without judgment to what is, you give yourself an amazing gift of clarity, of peace. You can release worry and fear and discover lightness of being.

Pay attention and taste the sweetness of this moment!

Distractions

Dear ones, I have witnessed among you delightful two legged ones many distractions and detours of thought and action that keep you from your most treasured goals and dreams.

You too have access to grace, the state of oneness with all things. Grace is no consciousness of self as you move easily through life. You have no second guessing, no doubt, you exist completely in the here and now.

You often distract yourselves and take yourselves out of the stream of life with time wasters, glitzy attention grabbers, shiny objects, preconceived notions, career trivia, Mom and Dad’s agenda for you, pain in the body or emotions…

Gradually you’re pulled off the track into the weeds. Have you sacrificed the most precious treasure of your life – your time – to distractions by others? Those with louder voices, bigger paychecks, overpowering egos, higher positions, a bigger following, more success, more stuff?

If so, it is time to haul yourself back to your true and rightful path – your life’s work, your soul’s delight, your calling. You un-rooted ones must make like a tree and ground yourself daily, hourly, if you need to.

Pull yourself back to the center of your life, let go of your grip on the distracting elements around and in you. Simply notice your distraction and align yourself again and again with the source of your purpose, your soul’s work.

You are the sovereign of your own energy, your own life. Learn to focus fully on your life’s passions and the distractions will fall away.  You will once again live in a state of  grace.
