You might be under the impression that you are small and powerless, insignificant, and forgotten. You are under a mistaken impression!

You have come here to this place in a physical body. You have chose to be here and live on our magnificent planet at this time. Each and every one of you has a vital role to play in the unfolding of life on this earth.

The thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions that run through you create and join with the energies of others to create the world as you see it and experience it.  I ask you to use the creative power of your thoughts, your feelings, to send the messages that you want reflected back to you.

Do you send the message that others are not welcome? My dear, you will find yourself unwelcome.  Do you send a message that others do not measure up to your standards? You will find that same thing happens to you. Do you send out and allow your loving moments to shine through? You will feel more love reflected to you.

This is an eternal law. What you send out through your vibrations, thoughts and feelings comes back to you. You are a powerful creator! Use your powers wisely!

Live in the here and now

My beloved, do not waste your precious moments worrying about the future or feeling bad about the past. Live in your body, in the here and now.

Each breath you take is an opportunity to choose a new way of thinking, a better feeling, a more compassionate outlook, and to drop those tired beliefs that keep you stuck.

You have power to create your life, to change as a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, and heal those aspects of your life that aren’t working. Do not blame yourself or others. Love yourself, be kind to yourself and support yourself fully in what you want to accomplish, the person you intend to become.

You create the blueprint of your future life through your thoughts and feelings, expectations and beliefs. You grow into the dimensions, the possibilities you envision for yourself. You create your future from this present moment.

Do you dream a small dream for yourself? I ask you to begin to allow yourself to expand your dream. Find clarity within your mind. Expect the best!

Your shiny electronic thing

Your shiny little electronic thing may be connected to a universe of information – but it is limited. It has no heart, no soul, no emotion, no discernment for what really counts, what matters, what meaning lies beneath the incessant cranking out of “content”- more words and images each day.

What are you missing?

Do not allow your shiny hand held smart – but not wise devices – to take over your lives, to substitute for real connection, true feeling, heart to heart conversation.

Do not let them babysit your children or substitute teach in place of a real human being with a heart, wisdom, emotions, kindness and compassion.

These sleek little objects take you from knowledge of the feelings in your body and tells you what to think, what to pay attention to, who is trending, who is on top, who matters, who you should like.

All those shiny images and catchy words take precious moments from your life. Are they worth it?

These are moments you could cuddle your beloved child, play with your pet, climb a tree, lie in a hammock in the shade, have a heart to heart talk with your best friend.

I know you will say it is useful, important, helpful. Yes it is a tool and perhaps a toy, yet you make a mistake when you allow it to rule your lives.

No matter how sophisticated your shiny little expensive electronic thing, it will never replace your heart, soul, and feeling which make you human!

Non-permanence

Nothing in this universe is permanent but our indestructible spirits.

All is in constant flow and flux. What you call a stone is made of minute energy particles coalesced into matter, yet on a deeper level, permeable. On an even deeper level, nothingness.

Somehow, we are in a place where we perceive matter in solid form. Yet the pattern of non-permanence is shown to us in our cycles of life death life. All living things come into being, then must decay and pass away.

All landscapes erode, all cloud formations dissipate, all musical tones die away to the ear, bedrock becomes sand, and yet all deaths give rise to the new.

The upstart cottonwood sprout will surge ahead and surpass me some day as I enter my season of decline. Our parents will pass on, our beloved shade trees will succumb to age, our favorite pets will cease to exist on the physical plane.

Yet, the fabric of existence endures, as new rock is formed deep in the earth, as new clouds form on the horizon, as our children mature, bear children and become parents. This fabric is woven strong of spirit.

Dissolve into all that is

It is peak high summer. Everything is alive and growing! Take time to allow yourself to be one with the sky – the blue dome, the trees, the grasses, the solid earth.

Even for a few minutes, know and feel yourself as energy, as a shifting almost fluid being. Allow the awareness of yourself to dissolve into all that is. In this way you will feel one and become one with the entire universe.

Your ego won’t like this much! Give it a little treat and send it to rest somewhere close by under a shady tree.

When you learn to dissolve and re-form, you learn that you are in everything and everything is in you.  And by everything, I mean All That Is.

When you know this in every cell of your body – every particle of energy that makes you up – you will never feel separate again.

Hot weather and harmony

Do you say “I hate this weather!”? Do you curse everything outside your refrigerated homes? If so, you are rejecting the magnificent earth that is your dwelling place and creating disharmony.

A change in the weather

Do you become quiet and study her cycles of heat, cool, rain and dry? It is vital that humans pay attention to the minute changes  and learn to live in harmony with our earth.

Rejection is not harmony. Fighting against is not harmony. Fearing is not harmony. Creating an enemy is not harmony.

Dissonant vibrations are created by skewed thinking, then move from person to person, then move into your larger world. These vibrations are unhealthy and hurt all they touch. They create unsettled unpleasant feelings that tear at the web of all that is.

You do not feel good in the presence of this dissonance, yet you continue to create it.

Is it so familiar to you that the harmony of acceptance, kindness, compassion, and well being feel strange and threatening to you? I tell you that as an infant, you too were alive with the harmonies, chords, and tones of love. You were in harmony with others, co-creating an amazing composition of exquisite complexity! You did not complain about the weather!

The more you push against and create disharmony with others, with the earth, with the weather, the more you weaken the fabric of the web of life that sustains us all.

Cease your pushing. Accept what is. Breathe. Hum a lovely tune that makes you feel good!

All things have an attitude, a habit.

Grandmother Cottonwood

Growing things prefer shade or sun, rocky soil, swampy soil, rich soil. We can be expansive and confident, shy and retiring, showy and extroverted. Some of us thrive in the shadow of larger plants, some tower above the surrounding growth and reach higher than the others… like yours truly.

We may pelt you with hard nuts in the fall, or allow the breeze to blow our cottony seeds miles distant. We may be upright or prostrate, we may prefer to grow wild, or to live tame in your yards.

You too display your attitudes, your personalities. You may prefer to be quiet or lively, you may wish to dance in the street, or curl up with a novel. You may keep things in, or spill everything you know. Trust in yourself even if “Mom or Dad” want you to get out more or quiet down a bit.

Express who you are in the way that makes you happy and energized and satisfied. Do not ask for permission to be yourself! The world needs your unique attitude, for you fill a need here, just as each plant fills their unique place in nature.

The Moon

My dears have you looked to the sky at night and bathed and danced and delighted in the moonlight?

You would do well to study her rhythms and phases, to align your life’s ebb and flow, fullness and emptiness with her age-old patterns.

As the moon waxes, fill yourself with goodness, love and light. Prepare, gather in.

At full moon, open to her light, give thanks for what has manifested in your life!

Then as she wanes, let go, release all those thoughts ideas, energies that have served their purpose. Let go of those physical objects you are ready to release. Clear out, make room.

At new moon, the dark night of the month, honor the death of the old, make plans for the new, yet again.

All living things on this planet have evolved to be sensitive to the gentle rhythms, the pearly light of our beloved moon mother. You are no exception. Let the rhythms of your life be guided by our ancient night companion.

Tapestry of spirit

You are all connected, yet all on your own, so to speak. You are not permanently joined like paper dolls physically connected at hands and feet.

Tapestry of summer grasses

Each of you may stand alone, act alone, live alone, feel alone. Yet each of you is connected, a thread in a tapestry, the most exquisite, complex, delightful tapestry that is constantly growing, expanding, and morphing into new and yet more beautiful forms and colors, more joyful expressions.

If you focus on what you consider the ugliness, the mess, the unpleasantness of life around you, you miss the infinite beauty love and uplifting joy that is available to you through this fabric you belong to.

Are you one who sees the only drop of dirty water in the infinite ocean? I ask you to refocus your attention!

This life you’ve been given as the most precious gift imaginable is to be lived in concert with the spirits in all things, and your own spirit, the invisible life force that animates your body. Your spirits know a higher perspective, seeing many lifetimes, knowing the larger patterns of your existence; seeing and knowing the vast sea of light and peace and love that is not always apparent to your physical senses.

Get to know the part of you that is invisible, the part of you that is one with all things alive, all stars, all planets, every blade of grass – All that is.  Get to know the expansive spirit that makes possible your physical presence here on this sweet green earth.

Extend your awareness to include your invisible energy, your spirit.  Feel the power!

What is real?

Stop awhile under my cool umbrella of shimmering leaves. Let the buzzing cicada lull you to rest. Feel my strong loving energy envelop you with welcome. To feel this you must release your grip on the shiny thing in your hand. The thing you hunch over and stare at hour after hour.

What is real? The world contained in your mesmerizing little object, or the root and bark, leaf soil and seeds that make up my existence? Is it the shade shifting on the summer grass?

What is real?  Is it the breeze puffing its cooling breath across your body, the solid earth beneath your feel, supporting you and all you’ve done since before your birth; the moon and stars in the night sky? Is it the breath that rises and falls through your body like waves at the seashore?

What is real? The world inside your head or the world of your senses? What is real? The feelings and emotions that roll through you or the stuff of your imagination?

My dear ones, release your hold on the glowing screen from time to time and tune your senses to other frequencies of what you call reality. They will strike a deep chord within you, for you will remember once again the wonder of being a child. You will feel real again!
