Do not use your anger to hurt, to belittle, to create chaos. Your actions, words and the energy you radiate into the world have consequences, so choose wisely.

Learn to manage the powerful energy of anger, to channel it to fuel a better world, a better life, a just and safe and healthy planet for all beings!

Each living creature on earth weaves a web or tapestry of energy with thoughts feelings, actions and emotions, by simply being alive. Each individual web then overlaps and interacts with others, forming a greater web, a magnificent and intricate weaving that unites all things.

You are the master weaver- the powerful artisan creating the patterns and vibrancy of your energy fabric.

You can learn to master your own energy. Make it colorful, make it clear, make it vibrant! Where you feel fear or dread, transmute these threads of emotion by loving attention and reweave the fabric with courage, with love and acceptance. Where it is clouded, make it open; where it is dull, make it brighter; where it is obscure, make it clear.

Simply attending to your own personal tapestry creates waves of healing and waves of clarity that radiate from you and affect the greater web of all things.

I have known other trees to be uprooted, stripped of branches and leaves in a powerful windstorm, bent and broken by heavy ice and snow, riddled by disease and insects, felled by a chainsaw wielding human.

I have witnessed destruction and danger, I have seen death and decay. Yet I must stand tall and root myself deeply in the face of these unpredictable dangers.

It is my only choice. To endure, to live and unfold my leaves each spring, to release my seeds on the wind, to send my roots deeper and deeper into the fertile soul beneath me, to reach toward the light.

In the face of the dangers of life, within your power, do what you can to live fully, face the sun, and fulfill your purpose here. All other choices lead to diminishment.

Dear ones, each of you is endowed with amazing gifts, talents and sensitivities. Perhaps your family did not recognize your uniqueness, suppressed your power or did not understand your sensitivities and your true nature.

Your gifts and talents complement the talents and offerings of others. Together a world is created in which all can thrive! Not everyone can be an artist, not everyone can be a teacher, not everyone can be a mechanic… not everyone can be a magnificent cottonwood tree.

We are meant to depend on each other, from the lowliest blades of grass to the majestic oaks, to the creatures of the woods, to you, the two legged ones.

You are meant to be here living fully, plugging into source as your power supply. Your life task is to own and develop and share your unique gifts and to be fully yourself! So much creative power is at your command! Get comfortable with it!

All creatures on this earth belong to this great web of life. Without you and your gifts, the web cannot be as full and complete as it is meant to be. Without you, the web would be like a tapestry missing a primary color, a puzzle missing pieces, a house without a family.

Yes, I have said it before, and I repeat myself: You belong! You matter! You are needed!

You with two legs and a heart are meant to dance, to love the easy movement and flow of your body. You are meant to take action, to reach with your arms and gather in the amazing variety of gifts this planet offers.

You are meant to allow the energy of life to move you to play, sing, speak with a clear pure voice.

You are meant to gather your children and grandchildren with loving arms so they will feel your heartbeat in sync with the rhythm of the earth, so they will know your love and be calmed.

You with two eyes are meant to open them to the breathtaking beauty of this planet, the prairies, forests, lakes, rivers, mountains, wooded valleys, sea shores… open them also the unrepeatable beauty of your beloved ones, for they are priceless treasures that have been entrusted to you.

You with two ears are meant to come into silence and listen to the sounds of life on earth– the sighing of wind in fields of grass, the ticking of insects, the shimmer of breeze through summer leaves, the hoot of owl, birdsong, the full stream rushing along, the crunching of autumn leaves under your feet, the calling of spirit.

Breathe in the cool autumn air as you lay on the mother earth, silent under a billion stars and know you belong.

Coming into this moment now through your senses, worry,  fear and doubt will drop away.

You are meant to take delight in the magnificent life that is spread before you. There is no charge, no commission to pay for pure joy in the sensory joys of your life. They are freely given to all!

Power means being an effective person- finding and doing work and play that satisfies your spirit and lifts your heart.

Power is weaving webs of connection with others.

Power is using the fuel of your anger wisely and creatively without harm to others.

Power is standing in your truth and speaking clearly.

Power is allowing yourself to feel, letting feelings flow through you without blocking them. Giving them your full loving attention, then letting them go.

Power is aligning your inner light with source and knowing your connection to the web of all things.

Separately, disconnected from the web of all things, you are weak and flail about, seeking false sources of power. Grasping at straws. Those who would be separate are like a single thread, weak and alone, fragile and easy to break.

Connected to the web of creation, each individual thread joins with every other thread to create a tapestry, a fabric of amazing strength and beauty, of  breathtaking patterns, impossible to tear.

Send your roots deep into the earth, the loving mother that has always been the solid ground beneath your feet. You will weather this storm with deep roots, a firm and flexible self that will stay strong when the wind rises.

You will weather this storm by maintaining your alignment with the source of all creation and by doing what you were made for. Under no circumstances hide your gifts, or your light. Bring them forth with clarity, reaching your branches to the life giving light.

Know the power in your belly, your most precious birthright. Let it fuel you to speak clearly what is in your heart. Let it fuel you to act from your wisdom. Let it fuel your creative work.

Rest for a little while. Let go of all you normally hold tight to, letting go of control for a time. Allow your beautiful selves the luxury and freedom of nothing to worry about, nothing to push for, nothing to do, nothing to think. Simply be with no agenda for a time.

Remember the earth memories deep in our cells from the ancestors- the primeval forests, vast herds of grazing animals, clear flowing waters, wide stretches of unbroken prairie, lakes filled with fish of all descriptions, towering forests standing thousands of years, our roots gripping the cool rich earth, reaching toward the sun, anchoring us to this place.

Within all creatures reside the deep primal memories of nature in balance, of peace and harmony.

Too much “news” and information can clutter your mind and plant fear in your heart, convince you the world is not safe, that you are separate from the web off all things, that ‘they “ are unworthy, and that you are under attack…

Select wisely what you allow into your consciousness. It is a fallacy to think that pumping your brain full of information makes you smarter, safer, more knowledgeable. You must choose your sources wisely, limit your exposure.

Do not invite the screamers, haters and ranters into your head. They sound so confident, so sure, yet that does not make them wise or loving or caring or more intelligent than you are.

You must choose what to believe based on your own experience of the world, your feelings, your own deep knowings. Leave room and space for reality as you feel it and know it. Find your individual voice and speak your truth.

I ask you for the health of our shared planet to clear the psychic clutter and tune in to what really matters. Tune into the deep reservoir within you, the place of true knowing.

True power

Those who would hurt others and use ugly words to describe those unlike them might seem tough and strong. They might give a sense of being powerful. They might attract followers. Yet they rip into the web of life with their hurtful words and actions, creating chaos, pain and destruction.

They create chaos, then ask you to trust them because it is so chaotic.

They plant seeds of fear in your mind, then feed off your fear.

They tell you others are not to be trusted, then stab you in the back.

Those who would do this are great deceivers. Most of all, they deceive themselves into believing that harsh words and a tough demeanor and a boatload of money and a big gun = power.

True power does not come through striking fear in others or talking tough or yelling louder.  It comes through knowing the quiet truth of the heart and spirit within you and living by that truth, no matter what!
